NICET Fire Alarm Safety Courses

Capstone Simulation Included with Tiers 3 & 4

No three-hour videos of someone else drawing lines.
  1. Comprehensive Two-Story Design Studio: Combines blueprint reading, layout and calculations, device addressing, and submittal reviews into a single interactive commercial building project.
  2. Real-World Engineering Challenges: Requires calculating voltage drops, managing battery standby/alarm requirements, and adjusting detector spacing for structural elements like solid joists.
  3. Interactive Plan Layout & Riser Generation: Lets technicians place smoke detectors, pull stations, and horn/strobes directly onto floor grids, which automatically populate device schedules and generate system risers.
  4. Sequence of Operations Testing: Features a run-mode testing environment where users can verify elevator recall functions, waterflow switch alarms, and duct detector shutdowns.
  5. Automated Submittal Review: Acts like a real plan reviewer to audit your design against code standards, either approving the package or returning it with comments.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the official NICET exam?

No. This is independent exam preparation. You register for and take the NICET exam through NICET.

Does completing a course give me NICET certification?

No. You receive a Brazen Learning certificate of completion. NICET certification requires passing NICET's exam and meeting NICET's experience and documentation requirements.

How long do I have access?

You get access for ONE YEAR - most other trainings give you 90 days. You can log in any time during that period and review the material as often as you need.

Can I use the hours for NICET recertification?

The certificate lists your contact hours. NICET and your employer decide whether they count toward CPD or training requirements, so confirm with them first.

Which level should I start with?

Start with the level you plan to test for. If you're new to fire alarm work, start with Level I.

Do I need my own codebooks?

Yes. Use the editions on NICET's current reference list. The courses teach you how to navigate them; they don't reproduce code text.
